   On March 4, 2020, the Commission proposed a set of amendments to the exemptive framework under the Securities Act of 1933. Titled “Facilitating Capital Formation and Expanding Investment Opportunities by Improving Access to Capital in Private Markets” (the “Capital Formation Proposal”), the proposal includes amendments to simplify, harmonize, and improve certain aspects of the framework to promote capital formation while preserving or enhancing important investor protections.
