SEC Interactive Data Test Suite Update 35-151113
Nov. 18, 2015
The interactive data test suite located at http://www.sec.gov/spotlight/xbrl/interactive_data_test_suite.shtml has been updated. For a summary of changes, see the change log on the last page of the summary file (http://www.sec.gov/info/edgar/ednews/efmtest/efmtest-35-151113.pdf). The test suite has been updated to reflect new Sections 6.24 through 6.26 of the Draft EDGAR Filer Manual (Volume II) EDGAR Filing (Version 35) (http://www.sec.gov/info/edgar/edmanuals-vol2-35_d.htm), which describe the rendering process and conditions under which EDGAR will report warnings or errors related to rendering. The test suite also reflects new tests related to the XBRL formatted attachments to Form SDR.
Comments on the test suite may be submitted using the comment form at https://www.sec.gov/forms/contact_dera by indicating “Interactive Data Test Suite” in the subject field. The purpose of the public test suite is to assist developers of software that must validate Interactive Data prior to its submission to EDGAR. The test suite consists of many small Interactive Data instances, schemas, and linkbases that are categorized as to whether they violate a validation check, and if so, what validation check they violate and whether that would result in a warning or in an error that would cause the Interactive Data to be rejected.
This update to the test suite does not indicate Commission approval of any potential regulatory changes related to the EDGAR Filer Manual. Please refer to the SEC’s EDGAR webpage at http://www.sec.gov/info/edgar.shtml for updated information on when the Commission approves changes, if any, related to the EDGAR Filer Manual.
