Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the SEC

To support the responsible use of AI at the SEC, we have designated a senior leader to serve as the agency’s Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO).  

The CAIO, in coordination with senior leaders across the agency, is responsible for promoting AI innovation, managing AI risk, and implementing effective AI governance. The CAIO is also responsible for implementing OMB Memorandum 24-10, Advancing Governance, Innovation, and Risk Management for Agency Use of Artificial Intelligence. Consistent with this Memorandum, the CAIO has prepared and posted the SEC AI Compliance Plan.
