Draft 2024 Self-Regulatory Organizations (SRO) Taxonomy

Dec. 15, 2023

The Commission adopted rule amendments related to the settlement cycle for most broker-dealer transactions, the processing of institutional trades by broker-dealers and certain clearing agencies, and certain recordkeeping requirements applicable to registered investment advisers. See https://www.sec.gov/files/rules/final/2023/34-96930.pdf.

As part of the adopted amendments, the Commission is requiring clearing agencies that provide a central matching service to tag information in the newly required annual reports regarding straight-through processing to be filed in the Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval (EDGAR) system in Inline XBRL. The new elements needed to tag these disclosures are in the new draft Self-Regulatory Organizations (SRO) taxonomy.

A draft version of the SRO taxonomy has been posted, and the files are available at https://www.sec.gov/structureddata/dera_taxonomies. Please provide comments to StructuredData@sec.gov by February 15, 2024. Include “Draft 2024 SRO Taxonomy” in the subject header.
