The Office of Small Business Policy in the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance acts as a point of contact for small businesses. Staff in the office answer interpretive questions on issues relating to smaller public companies and on exempt offerings of securities.
The office also processes requests for waivers of disqualification arising under Regulation A, Regulation D, and Regulation Crowdfunding.
In addition, the office helps to coordinate the annual SEC Government-Business Forum on Small Business Capital Formation.
