New Employee Orientation

June 21, 2024

You are about to embark on an exciting new chapter in your career with the Federal Government. Whether you are entering civilian service for the first time, returning after a break-in service, or transferring from another Federal agency, the SEC strives to ensure a successful transition to the agency.

This website includes instructions for your first day of duty. It also provides valuable information regarding your employment with the SEC as well as the necessary forms you will need to complete during the onboarding process. The topics highlighted below will prepare you for your first day of employment with the SEC and offer a guide on what to expect during your orientation sessions.

Before Your Start

  • Ensure you’ve completed your necessary forms in the EODS System
    • EODS accounts are only active for 90 days after EOD and there are some personal email systems (e.g. GMAIL) that are not accessible from the SEC network
  • Read and review all of the information presented under each topic
  • Print and complete all employment and benefits forms (as applicable)
  • Bring all completed forms and Identification documents with you when you report for duty
  • Visit our website www.sec.gov for additional information about the SEC
