Deregistration of Certain Registered Investment Companies

Overview

The Commission is adopting amendments to the rule and form under the Investment Company Act of 1940 that govern the deregistration of registered investment companies. The Commission also is adopting amendments that require investment companies to file the form electronically through the Commission's Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval ("EDGAR') system. The amendments are designed to expedite the process for deregistering investment companies.
