The Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis and Retrieval (EDGAR) system is the primary way for companies and individuals to submit filings to the SEC in accord with the federal securities laws.

EDGAR is available to accept filings from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET weekdays (except federal holidays). Filings made outside of these times are processed the next business day.

Improving EDGAR

Through EDGAR Next, the SEC is seeking to improve EDGAR filer access and account management.

EDGAR beta environments allow filers, filing agents, and other members of the public to test and provide feedback on EDGAR

EDGAR Filer Management Portal

Submit applications for access to file on EDGAR - Form ID. Generate EDGAR access codes in the events of an expired, forgotten, or compromised password.

EDGAR Filing Portal

Log in and submit forms as single or bulk filings. Edit company and submission data, retrieve submission or account balance information, and view activity statements.

Online Forms Management Portal

Assemble and transmit XML filings or submit the following filings: Form D (registration exemption) and Forms 3, 4, 5, and 144.
