Statement of Support for the Need to Modernize the Commission’s Transfer Agent Rules

Earlier today, Commissioners Aguilar and Gallagher issued a statement regarding the need to modernize the Commission’s transfer agent rules. We agree that the issue of transfer agent regulation is pressing and timely, and thank Commissioners Aguilar and Gallagher for their continued focus on updating the regime. We look forward to working with our fellow Commissioners, the staff, and market participants as we move forward on reform initiatives.
