SEC Confirms Closure of Securities Markets on June 11, 2004, to Observe National Day of Mourning for Former President Ronald W. Reagan

Washington, D.C., June 7, 2004 - The Securities and Exchange Commission has coordinated the organized securities markets and exchanges concerning the closing of the securities markets on Friday, June 11, in observance of the national day of mourning for President Ronald W. Reagan. The Commission strongly supports the markets' decision to honor the memory and historic contributions of President Reagan in this manner.
