Fees for Providing Copies of Commission Records
Members of the public who request copies of public or nonpublic records will be assessed the following charges:
Charges for Commission Services
Copies of Commission documents that require locating, reviewing, and making available for inspection or copying are provided in accordance with the following:
- The rates will be updated as salaries change and will be determined by using the formula in the regulation. For the current calendar year, the fees would be assessed as follows:
- SK-8 or below: $29/hour
- SK-9 to 13: $61/hour; and
- SK-14 or above: $89/hour.
The Commission can charge FOIA requesters in quarter-hour increments. There will no longer be up to one half hour of staff time devoted to searching for and reviewing Commission records without charge. Copy costs will remain the same.
Production Services
The Commission charges $0.15 per page for each copy or image produced of 8-1/2 x 11" documents; and the actual cost of production for all other types of media.
Payments by Internet
Payments can be submitted directly from a bank account or by credit/debit card using Pay.gov. The Pay.gov Web Site allows remitters to make secure payments electronically to the SEC. It is an easy and convenient system that is available 7 days a week - 24 hours a day. The following link directs you to the pay.gov website: https://pay.gov/paygov/. Please refer to the instructions to debtors on how to remit payments online using the pay.gov website.
Payments by Mail
If paying by mail, checks or money orders should be made payable to the SEC and a copy of the invoice should be mailed to:
