John Moses

John Moses serves as the Director of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Office of Investor Education and Assistance (OIEA).

Mr. Moses previously served as Deputy Director of OIEA and as Managing Executive in the Office of the Chairman. Before joining the SEC, he gained private‑sector experience in real estate and operations leadership. He also served in the U.S. Navy as a surface warfare officer and security team leader.

Mr. Moses earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stanford University and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
