SEC Announces Dismissal of Civil Enforcement Action Against Former Rio Tinto Executive Guy Elliott

The Securities and Exchange Commission today filed a joint stipulation with Guy Elliott to dismiss, with prejudice, the Commission’s civil enforcement action against him.

The Commission’s decision to exercise its discretion and dismiss the pending enforcement action is based on the specific facts and circumstances of this case and, as stated in the joint stipulation, “does not necessarily reflect the Commission’s position on any other case."
