I have just read an article regarding the new rule which will allow stockbrokers to charge a fee and market themselves as financial planners. I truly believe that this rule will prove detrimental to the investing public. The key to financial planning should be that the planner is completely independent and an advocate for the investor. If a stockbroker is not required to disclose what financial incentives they receive, then investors will make decisions without knowing that the broker could have an ulterior motive for the products that they recommend.

Please withdraw this rule in the interest of all investors.
