Certain members of the Mutual Fund Industry have shown that they are not at all interested in fullfilling their basic obligations to their shareholders, protecting and enriching them. If the public,a.k.a. shareholders, is the issue here, then more disclosure will obiusioly be beneficial to them.
The fox will never be an acceptable guard for the chicken coop.
