I feel it is essential that the SEC require brokers to disclose more information about costs and potential conflicts of interests to investors who purchase mutual fund shares, UIT interests, 529 plan shares, and certain other investments. Only then can investors have some chance that they are getting unbiased investment advise from their brokers on these products. The more transparency in transactions between brokers and clients the better it will be for the investor.
