I feel that the SEC should make all mutual fund companies eliminate their 12b-1 fees because that is another way funds make the individual investor pay higher expenses for owning their fund. The individual investor already pays enough to own a fund that has a small amount of net assets in the fund. On the other hand, if funds do not eliminate the 12b-1 fees that mutual funds charge, then I think that the SEC should make funds who charge over the .25 limit, decrease their current 12b-1 fee to .25.
