Re: Rule-Making Petition 4-483
Dear Mr. Katz:
I am a private investor in Niagara Corporation, (ticker symbol: NIAG). My shares are in the name of my broker, but somehow under current legislation, I do not count as an individual shareholder on file. I feel this is very unfair, and that the old laws need to be revised to fit current circumstances (that most shareholders hold their stake in the name of a broker).
When they announced the de-listing, the stock price plummeted 35%. I feel the company has freed themselves of reporting requirements, at the expense of the common shareholder.
Thank you for your consideration to this situation.
