I would like to see companies report the number of shares authorized and issued each quarter to help investors make more informed decisions before purchasing stock.
Also, I would like to see more privacy protection built into stock trades. After you purchase shares in a company, the owner of the shares should be given a number (issued by your brokerage) and this number would then be given to the company. All correspondence would be from the company and your brokerage and referenced by that number only.Any correspondence issued to the shareholder would come from your brokerage only , the company would not know your name. Also any purchase of stock by an individual would not be known to any stock exchange the transaction number would be known by your brokerage only and available to others by subpoena only.
Last I think SEC personnel should be awarded financial incentives if they are able to identify and correct fraudulent activity such as stock price manipulation.
