How can you let NASDAQ charge fees for public information? The Federal government gives NASDAQ almost monopoly status for stock trading and you're going to give them the ability to charge fees for trading information, which should be availible to everyone free of charge to keep the playing field level. How will the markets be free of manipulation, if everyone does not have equal access to the information they need? I suppose we can depend on the S.E.C. to protect all the investors, including the small investors, just like they did in permitting short sellers to drive companies stock prices to zero with naked short selling.
