I respectfully request you give consideration to withdrawing the proposed rule entitled Certain Broker-Dealers Deemed Not To Be Investment Advisers Release Nos. 34-42099 IA-1845 File No. S7-25-99. I am a Certified Financial Planner and it has been my experience that my clients give great weight to their Brokers financial advice and this advice has a substantial affect on their decisions. To exempt any Broker-Dealers from rules that apply to financial planners would be a disservice to the investing public.
