I feel very strongly that the minimum limit to be considered an accredited investor should not be raised. I currently qualify but under the proposed rule would not. You should be seeking ways to give smaller investors greater choices instead of limiting them. It's not clear that the current options in mutual funds serve any benefit other than to line the pockets of the manager who run them and advisers that sell them.
