
During October 4-10, 2021, the Securities and Exchange Commission, along with several other agencies, organizations and supporters, worked together to promote World Investor Week 2021 and its goals in the United States.
World Investor Week is a global campaign promoted by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) to raise awareness about the importance of investor education and protection.

Chair Gary Gensler started off the week with a first-ever WIW kick-off video and also created an investing basics “Office Hours” video.

SEC Commissioner Caroline Crenshaw discusses financial readiness with personnel stationed at European military bases on October 7.

Miami Regional Office Director Eric Bustillo spoke to seniors at the University of Miami on avoiding financial and community-based fraud.

AARP Fraud Watch Network talking to Office of Investor Education and Advocacy Director Lori Schock about investment scams.

Tom Manganello from the SEC's Office of Investor Education and Advocacy participated in a wellness fair for 1,500 weekend reservists at Warfield Air National Guard Base in Middle River, Maryland.

Chair Gary Gensler headed up a virtual event for nearly 100 students from Stillman College, Medgar Evers College, Southern University, and North Carolina Central University.

Lisa Roberts from the SEC's Miami office gave a presentation about the SEC and career opportunities at the agency to students at the University of Mississippi.
