Russ serves in PwC's National Professional Services Group as a financial services leader in its Accounting Consultation Services (ACS) group. Prior to joining ACS, he was the Banking Leader for the PwC's Northeast Region, a Risk Management Partner, and a Quality Review Partner on several large financial services clients. He has also served as the lead audit partner for several large multinational banking and financial services clients. Russ has over 23 years of experience assisting large financial institutions on complex accounting and auditing matters, including derivatives and other financial instruments, hedging matters, and asset securitizations, structured transactions, and credit allowances. In addition, he served as a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant at the US Securities and Exchange Commission from 1995 to 1997. While at the SEC, he was the primary contact and team leader on financial instrument and financial institution matters, including capital markets transactions.
