Jane Adams has been a member of the user community as an analyst in equity research for the past 8 years: 2 years in sell-side equity research at CSFB as Director of Accounting and Tax Policy and the last 6 years on the buy-side at Maverick Capital, an investment fund founded in 1993 with over $29 billion in gross assets under management. Maverick invests globally in liquid, primarily larger cap, equity securities based on in-depth fundamental research; financial statement analysis is an essential element of Maverick's research. Prior to joining the user community, Ms. Adams spent 18 years in auditing and accounting policy and research, including positions as project manager at the Financial Accounting Standards Board, Director of Accounting Standards at the American Institute of CPAs, and as Deputy Chief Accountant in the Office of the Chief Accountant at the U. S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Ms. Adams received her B.A. from Vassar College and her M.B.A. from Pace University. Ms. Adams is a member of the CFA Institute's Corporate Disclosure Policy Council and was a member of its Comprehensive Business Reporting Model Subcommittee.
