George P. Miller is Executive Director of the American Securitization Forum (ASF). Mr. Miller serves as the ASF's senior staff executive, overseeing the Forum's staff and securitization market advocacy initiatives. The ASF is a broadly-based professional forum through which securitization market participants advocate their common interests on significant legal, regulatory and market practice issues. ASF member firms include securitization issuers, investors, financial intermediaries, rating agencies, trustees, legal and accounting firms, and other professional organizations. Mr. Miller previously served as Deputy General Counsel of The Bond Market Association (now SIFMA), where he was responsible for securitization market advocacy initiatives in the U.S. and Europe, through the European Securitisation Forum. Prior to that, he was an attorney in the corporate department at Sidley, Austin, Brown & Wood LLP, where he specialized in structured finance transactions, representing both issuers and underwriters of mortgage and asset-backed securities. Mr. Miller holds a J.D. Degree from the Fordham University School of Law. In addition, he earned an M.P.P. from the School of Public Policy Studies at the University of Michigan and a B.A. from the University of Michigan.
