NO NEED TO APPROVE NASD'S PROPOSAL
I'll make this short......there are already plenty of suitability rules and regs concerning variable annuities. Considering the volume of variable sales compared to the few complaints...new rules are uncalled for. You just need to severly disipline those few rule breakers.
Education is the key.....producers should be trained in the proper use of VA's. With education...we will know when VA's are appropriate.
