Regarding proposed additional legislation on Indexed Variable annuities.

I am an officer of a small local insurance agent's association in Nebraska.
Our 25 members would like you to know that we see the proposed additional federal regulation of Indexed annuities as unneccessary, and overreaching federal government regulation into a problem that does not exist, except in the pages of overzealous magazine article editors. Our members work hard to protect their customer's retirement funds and issue only reccomendations that are in the best interest of their clients. Does additional regulation improve that attitude? NO! Please enforce the current rules on the abusers and take them out of business. Quit trying to impose more regulations and put your efforts into enforcing the framework of regulation that is currently in place.

Thanks for your consideration on our behalf
