From: Wendell Peart [wendell@volcano.net] Sent: Thursday, February 06, 2003 6:47 PM To: rule-comments@sec.gov Subject: Average cost of securities (s7-51-02) 12870 Burnt Cedar Lane Pine Grove, CA. 95664 February 6, 2003 Securities Exchange Commission Washington, D. C. Gentlepersons: My request is simple and is nothing more than FULL DISCLOSURE. Please require both open and closed end mutual funds in their quarterly reports to declare what the costs or average costs are of the securities that they hold in their portfolios. They know what their costs are but the Mutual Fund that I own do not disclose what they paid for the stock. This ought to be required relative to full disclosure. Those of you who are reading this and who have purchased stock, know full well what you pay for the securities and such information ought to be required of those that sell mutual funds. Thank you.
