With so much 401K, and IRA money invested in mutual funds, the fund managers control large blocks of corporate stock, hence as a group they can control enough proxy votes to influence corporate management. Investors need to know how they are voting! We need to bring an end to the corporate mismanagement allowed by the Fund managers and investment advisors. Until investors can be confident of accurate financial disclosure and corporate management accountability - we will continue to withdraw investing from the stock market.
