Date: 03/21/2000 12:56 PM Subject: Disclosure Rules - an Opinion My recent experience buying stocks of two companies, HBOC which became HBOC-MCKESSON, and the eye-laser maker VISX, has taught me to be wary of information the company 'releases' for public consumption. In both situations, class-action suits (I'm a participant in the HBO-MCK suit) will decide whether the companies materially defrauded their investors. To make the Effiicient Mkt Hypothesis work, you must ensure that the playing field is a level one. I vote for full disclosure rules, thanks, Robert Erdman, Marietta, Ga.
