Subject: Let shareholders voice their concerns. Date: 11/4/97 9:57 PM I am writing you to express my concern that the SEC is going to do the opposite for what our government intended and propose rules to take away the rights of shareholders to have a voice in the corporations they own. The rule changes you are proposing will help rob the democratic pleas from the compassionate members of a corporation, even if a majority. If the members of that corporation express concern about labor, environmental rights and pay then those who don't own the corporation, the top executives, shouldn't have sole discretion on the direction of the company. Please prioritize the rights of shareholders. Thank you Jerome A. Mc Collom jmcco422@uwsp.edu 1700 Monroe #27, Stevens Point, WI 54481
