I am strongly in favour of this proposed rule and understand that corporations are lobbying hard against this rule. I wish to remind the SEC Board that the SEC's primary role is to ensure ethical and fully open corporate behaviour and to protect shareholders and the public against corporate malfeasance. Shareholder proposals are the only means by which individuals can attempt to require changes in action of corporations of which they are part owners. Please do not be swayed by the businesses you regulate against the best interests of their shareholders and of the public in general. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration of this matter.
