The more insight and oversight that ordinary shareholders have to the corporate boardroom, the better. I have long understood, and been frustrated by, the fact that a withheld vote for a director is worthless since he will still be elected by as little as one vote. I strongly support the proposal for nominations of directors from the shareholders.
