I agree with SEC Commissioner Harvey J. Goldschmid when he said that the new rules are “a critical step in alleviating the present-day corporate abuses, from excessive managerial power to excessive compensation.” I am deeply troubled by the current administration's inability to substantially address rampant corporate corruption in this nation, and I see such rules as a much needed step in the right direction.
