This request is in regards to File Number S7-06-04, Point of Sale & Confirmation Disclosures.
I know that the industry has taken a lot of heat over the past three years, and you the SEC have been on the hot seat. But that gives you no reason to disregard the interests of the brokerage community. The proposal was distributed for comment on March 1, but wasnt received until a week later. I cannot believe that you cannot provide additional time for the community to digest what the proposal has and to be able to provide an intelligent response. Providing such a short time to absorb all the details of the proposal is short sided. Maybe that was the intent,You dont want comments to be presented. After all at least you made the attempt.
You have been on the hot seat as well as the community. Let us be a partner to the process.
