I have been registered representative for 39 years. I am writing to object to the new disclosure requirements contained in the SEC's proposal regarding the sale of variable products. At point of sale this information is already discussed and pointed out in the prospectus. Its discouraging to have to deal with yet more paper and requirements. How many products are purchased today where you are given a piece of paper that tells you only the costs of the products without any other information about its benefits or services. Instead efforts should be made to simplify the information in the prospectuses. That is the proper place for it . There it discusses the investment objectives and goals of the investment etc.. Thank You for your consideration in this matter. Don Martyn
