Koahnic Broadcast Corporation is a 501(c)3 corporation located in Anchorage, 
Alaska.  I am writing in regards to HR944 and HR945 that would regulate the 
reporting of and decision-maiking about corporate donations.
     
KBC relies on grants and contributions from private corporations and 
foundations.  We believe that the proposed legislation would negatively impact 
KBC's ability to raise private dollars because of the negative impact it would 
have on these corporations and foundations. Corporations required to receive 
input from their shareholders would be costly and may not have enough funds to 
grant to projects like KBC and others.  Furthermore, shareholders of private 
corporations don't necessarily have the expertise to make effective decisions 
for charitable donations in order that those donations benefit the community 
and company.  
     
KBC does not support these bills because of the above reasons.
