Subject: s7-26-97 Dear Sirs: As an investor, I want to add my voice to those urging the passage of H.R. 944. Public disclosure is at the heart of the system of trust that underlie all our financial markets. What corporations choose to do with shareholders money is always a matter of serious interest to investors. This is all the more true because some companies choose to fund organizations that may be seen as advocating particular views on various public issues, notwithstanding their non-profit, educational, or philathropic orientation. Investors deserve to have this information. In an open and democratic society, this should not even have to be argued. Thanks for the opportunity. Kenneth C. McAlpin (kcm1@erols.com)
