I encourage the SEC to take that important step. As an individual shareholder, too often I feel isolated from the entire procedure by which, for instance, proposed new directors for a company are chosen for shareholder approval or rejection. I admire the SEC for taking on the whole idea of proxy reform, because some very tough issues are involved. These issues - presumably, to enhance shareholder participation and to improve corporate leadership and accountability - are essential to modernizing and invigorating our American business creed and ethics. Sincerely, Sophia Lynn Day Phone: 202-588-6308
