I want the SEC to amend its rules to increase shareholders' ability to pick corporate directors Half the shares in US companies are held by individual shareholders. Most have no idea the SEC is deciding this issue. But if shareholders can't pick their representatives, and if CEOs do, no one should be surprised if boards fail to protect shareholders, and instead protect the executives to whom they owe their jobs. Most executives do well but boards must stop poor ones. Please amend the rules to increase Shareholders' ability to pick Corp. Directors.
