I well remember the spate of stockholder-inspired environmental reform measures in the wake of the Exxon Valdez. One place where I and other stockholders have very little input and no power is in the selection of directors. Our only input is a Yes/No choice for a handpicked person (one candidate for each seat) about whom we know nothing other than a list of past affiliations (assuming they are accurate). The powerlessness of stockholders cannot be healthy when we have seen a parade of corrupt companies damage the US economy in the last decade. I support an in-depth review of how directors are selected, and what alternatives there are to the current situation. Thank you, Elisabeth Brown 84 Harvey Court Irvine, CA 92612
