Securities Uniformity; Annual Conference on Uniformity of Securities Laws

The Commission and the North American Securities Administrators Association, Inc. today announced a request for comments on the proposed agenda for their annual conference to be held on April 19, 1999. This meeting seeks to carry out the policies and purposes of section 19(c) of the Securities Act of 1933, which are to increase cooperation between the Commission and state securities regulatory authorities in order to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of securities regulation.
