Use of Electronic Media for Delivery Purposes

Overview

The Securities and Exchange Commission (the "Commission') is publishing its views with respect to the use of electronic media for information delivery under the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and the Investment Company Act of 1940. This interpretive guidance is intended to assist market participants in using electronic media to provide information under the federal securities laws and to encourage continued research and development and use of such media. The Commission is seeking comment on issues discussed in this release. In a companion release, the Commission is proposing technical amendments to Commission rules that are currently premised on the distribution of paper documents.
