About the Office
The Office of Strategic Initiatives (OSI) provides direct executive-level oversight for the ongoing transformation of specific functions and programs to include business ownership of the Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval System (EDGAR) and the respective EDGAR redesign program initiative.
EDGAR Business Owner:
The OSI Director serves as the EDGAR Business Owner (EBO) and has business ownership of the EDGAR system.
EDGAR Program Office:
The EDGAR Program Office (EPO) provides operational support to the EBO and is responsible for coordinating EDGAR issues that arise from filer interactions and provides coordination between SEC divisions/offices to resolve EDGAR related issues. The EPO also serves as a business partner to the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and represents the business interests of SEC divisions/offices in the EDGAR software development lifecycle.
EDGAR Redesign Program:
The EDGAR Redesign (ERD) Program is a multi-year cross-SEC initiative to develop and deliver the next generation electronic disclosure system.
Information Services (Library) Branch:
The Information Services (Library) Branch comprises the Public Reference Room and Louis Loss Library, which offers access to online and hard copy resources, research tools and reference assistance to SEC staff.
