Securities and Exchange Commission Acting Chairman Laura S. Unger and
Commissioner Isaac C. Hunt Jr. released the following statement:

We were deeply saddened to learn that our dear friend and colleague Commissioner Paul R. Carey passed away
earlier today.  Paul’s leadership and insights inspired us, and his cheerful manner, quick wit and sense of
humor enriched us.  We will miss him greatly.
