Weinstein Appointed Attorney Fellow in Office of Municipal Securities Washington, DC, May 24, 1999 -- The Securities and Exchange Commission's Office of Municipal Securities today announced the selection of Stephen J. Weinstein as an Attorney-Fellow for a two-year term beginning May 24, 1999. Currently, Mr. Weinstein practices as a legal and financial consultant, focusing on infrastructure investments funded with public securities and in partnership with the private sector. Mr. Weinstein previously served as a financial advisor in the field of municipal securities, assisting issuers in structuring and implementing public bonding programs. He has also been responsible for project financing with an international infrastructure planning firm. In addition, he served as counsel and executive director of the Municipal Assistance Corporation during the time it was providing financing for the City of New York as one of the largest municipal issuers in the United States. Paul Maco, Director of the Office of Municipal Securities said, "Steve brings invaluable experience to OMS, with his background at the Municipal Assistance Corporation, as well as investment banking and consulting expertise.
