 SEC Announces Selection of Madeleine McGrath Blake as Associate
District Administrator of the Commission's Boston District Office

     Washington, D.C., February 15, 2001 - The Commission today
announced the selection of Madeleine McGrath Blake as Associate
District Administrator in the Commission's Boston District Office
(BDO).  The BDO maintains enforcement and regulatory programs in
the six New England states.  As Associate District Administrator,
Ms. McGrath Blake will assist the District Administrator in
overseeing these programs.

     Ms. McGrath Blake was previously an Assistant District
Administrator in the BDO responsible for managing a portion of
the office's enforcement program.  Ms. McGrath Blake initially
joined the Commission staff in 1993 as a staff attorney in the
BDO and has served in several positions of increasing
responsibility in the enforcement program.  Ms. McGrath Blake
graduated from the University of Maine, with highest honors, in
1985 and received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center,
magna cum laude, in 1989.
