FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 2001-102 Relocation of SEC Northeast Regional Office Washington, DC, September 26, 2001 - Today the Securities and Exchange Commission signed an agreement to lease replacement space for its Northeast Regional Office. The replacement space for the SEC office, formerly located at 7 World Trade Center and destroyed in the September 11th attack, will be located in the historic Woolworth Building at 233 Broadway. This location provides a long-term lease of approximately 140,000 rentable square feet and will continue the SEC's tenancy and presence in New York City's financial district. The SEC currently anticipates occupying this office in early October, although the specific date is not known at this time.
