       Limit Order Transparency Roundtable Available Via

What:

1.    Roundtable Teleconference:  The limit order transparency
roundtable that the Commission will conduct Thursday, May 4,
2000 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at SEC headquarters in Washington,
DC will be available to credentialed media via teleconference.

will be a listen-only line.

2.    New Limit Order Display Report:  The Commission will also
release a new report on limit order display tomorrow, May 4,
2000.  The report will be available to credentialed media at
9:00 a.m. EDT, embargoed until 1:00 p.m. EDT.  To receive an
electronic version of the report, please call 202.942.0020.

3.    Briefing On Limit Order Display Report:  Lori Richards,
Director of the Office of Compliance Inspections and
Examinations and William Atkinson, Associate Chief Economist,
will conduct a media briefing on the new limit order display
report.  The briefing will take place at 12:15 p.m.,
immediately following the roundtable, in the SEC's William O.
Douglas Room.  The briefing will be available to credentialed
media via teleconference.  Please call 202.942.0020 to receive
